From all the stories Quintessent-Rune she had surmised that the harbour was prone towards destruction and chaos. And 'prone' was mildly put to say the least. Such an enviroment didn't seem particularly encuraging to sedate and, hopefuly, rather opulent living. Or living at all for that matter.

Quintessent threw a look over her shoulder up on the towering Spire and it's perpetual storm before shaking her head for herself. The edifice of destruction wouldn't get the better of her! After all, she was rather attatched to life. Turning back to her work the mare focused her attention on the windowstill of Chaos' home, pressing a hoof against it and closing her eyes - focusing on her magic. Her coat took on a wet sheen, or at least wetter than it had gotten in the rain, and her mane floated out around her head as she channeled her magic.

And then… done. "Well, there we go, Servant! Another window made safe."
:trots down the stairs. It may be a bit late to be waking up, but the mare had a late night. Despite that, Chaos looks fully alert and ready for whatever the day has in store. She's sporting her cloak, and bandages around her chest, as well as carrying all three of her blades beside her. Taking a moment to look around the house, a cursory sanity check, she spots Quintessent Rune. "A pleasure to see you, miss Rune. What are you up to?"

The seapony turned towards Rising Chaos, rather unconcerned over the rain herself it would seem as she stood plain in the rain only dressed in her scarf. The fish plusy golem was on the street, splashing in a puddle that's not nearly deep enough to let it swim. Still, it keeps trying. "Why, greetings miss Chaos! I'm suprised you're finaly taking interest in my toil, though I supose that might be expected… what with your paramour staying with you."

The seapony smirked for herself before turning and gesturing at the window frame… which shimmered ever so softly with golden hues, as if some thin engraveing of gold… "I'm happy to repport that your abode has been made secure, or at least far more secure than before, by my tallents for artifice. Windows and doors have been reinfoced to withstand the most brute assaults, as have the foundation and what bearing elements I have managed to reach."
(OOC) Spindrift: d'aww, Servant~
ooc d'aww indeed~

:decides to ignore the use fo the term 'paramour' it really isn't necessary for civilized conversation. "More secure? You seem to have done quite a bit of work then, I think you." She casts a critical eye over the structure. Perhaps now it will survive the storm? That would be oddly amusing. "I should take an interest more often if this is what I get from it." She manages a soft chuckle. "I will have to find some way to repay you."

"I was thinking, perhaps, a small manor outside town. Nothing TO fancy obviously, but fancy enough," came the seapony's remark, it's almost playful… Well, it sounds almost playful, but it obiously isn't! Quintessent would never stope to something like that. "Either way, with the threat of iminent destruction prohibited, or at least aleviated, I can finaly get around to doing some ACTUAL work!"
:rolls her eyes. "Something that I wasn';t going to do for you anyways, miss Rune. The mansion goes without saying." Chaos takes a few steps out the door, and considers her house some more. There seem to be a lot of thoughts going through her head. "I would love to hear what kind of work you get up to. That is, if you feel comfortable sharing, I may not be doing work but I AM curious."

Quintessent-Rune put a hoof to her mouth and laughed softly, and propperly. "Well, if you must know I was thinking of improving upon the BALLs and see if I can make them more reliable. I've run a few tests and found a few faults with the design so far. I can show you, if you are interested."
:looks curiously over at the other mare. "I would love to see. I have been considering asking you if I could purchase some of the BALLs myself, so seeing them improved would be quite nice." The swords are tucked away beneath her cloak, they won't be needed just yet.

The seapony nodded before trotting over to the plushy golem and peering down at it. "Servant, I require your pressence and aid for a demonstration… Oh wait, right. I've still not deviced a way to get you mobile above the sea, have I… I… Hey, it's not my fault I've had other, much more pressing concerns over my head!" Quintessent-Rune scowled at the plushy, who seemed to scowl right back, before bending down and scooping it up. Thus prepared she set of down the street.

"Miss Chaos, lets find a place where we can safely deploy the BALLs without tearing up the pavement. It would be rather unseemely and distasteful, especialy outside ones abode."
(OOC) Spindrift: soda, are you at all familiar with a horror manga by Junji Ito called Gyo?
:nods mutely. The seemingly one sided arguments with a fish plushie are just another part fo Harbour life, and have long since stopped fazing her. "Of course, lead the way miss Rune. I was heading out of town anyways." She stays close to the other mare, who may notice Chaos being very, very careful to watch where she's going.

(OOC) Quintessent-Rune: I'm not really into managa or anything like that…
(OOC) Spindrift: well, it's about a bunch of dead fish and sharks and stuff that come to life on horrible mechanical legs and invade a town
(OOC) Spindrift: so if you're looking for terrifying ways to animate Servant, you may consider it a worthy inspiration
A few minutes of walking, all through which the seapony remains firmly unaware - or maybe she's just pretending she is, due to politeness - of Chaos' behaviour. Once ariving out in the open, for the most part, Quintessent-Rune smiled brightly. "Ah, this would work well, I supose, as a testing field!"

With that said Quintessent dug into her scarf, producing the two golem cores and tossing them on the ground.
:is satisfied that they aren't in any danger. She nods, watching the balls while having a seat. Exercise is all well and good, but her chest is starting to hurt. "Show me then. I am constantly awed by your prowess with golemancy."

"And I with your spontanious capabilities to perform feats of arcane magic," said Quintessent-Rune with a soft smile beofre turning back to the two forming golems. After a few moments she nodded themselves. "Alright then, Spinball, Oddball. I command thee to fight… Servant." With that she reached around and pulled the fish of her back and tossed it in between the two hulking golems. Servant gave Rune the stink eye, flopping wildly.

une, on her part, turned back to Chaos. "I found that the bindings used to accumelate fresh matter were suprisingly weak, and while it might be optimized further," she fell silent and glanced over to the golems, just in time for one of the BALLs to get it's head torn off, "I found a rather interesting unintended effect. One that I have been working on reinfocing instead, it would let them stay in the fi-," she ducked, a leg of stone and soil flying over her head, "-ght much longer than before…"
(OOC) Quintessent-Rune: Out of camera titanic battle!
:waves away the compliment. The fights unfolds and she watches with a large amount of interest. Not because she wants them to fight for her, but for other reasons entirely. The damage and mayhem doesn't seem to worry her in the least, in fact, she walks towards them to get a better look. "And what is that effect, miss Rune? How do you intend on improving upon it?"

"It will all be clear in a moment. For now, observe the fact that Servant," contiued Rune, nodding towards the two piles of rubble and the moderately but fashionably battle-damaged plushy-golem, "have neutralized the two BALLs with minor…" Soda fell silent as the golem glared at her. "With… Fine, with no problem whatsoever."

"This, then, is where I present to you the improvements I've made. They have a rather pronounced regenerative propperty, as Servant will just be made aware off," the seapony said with a smirk, her golem servant stoping it's floping and giving her a beady-eyed stare that can only be described as incredelous. As the two piles behind it started to rumble and shake together he flopped franticaly to turn around to face them once more.
:doesn't quite understand how a fish plushie beat two massive golems. then aagin, she doesn't have to in order to enjoy the spectacle. "Regeneration? That's an extrememly desireable property in a golem. Especially on a less powerful one, in my opinion." She moves back to where Rune is. "Is there any way for me to help?" Steal her secrets, make her own golems. That's the plan. A pesky little voice in the back of her head ammends the plan. Make her own golems and credit miss Rune, be nice.

Quintessent-Rune shook her head ever so slightly. "Not unless you can help me figure out a way to cross-connect the arcane spell initialization matrix pattern with the thaumic superconductor loop and artefact heartbeat cycler without producing a catastrophic feedback loop into the force bindings and cognicent logic grid that would make it all explode…"
:nods along at the explanation. "I think you misunderstand me miss Rune, I can probably help. There is no kind of magic that's out of my reach, after all. The only problem is magnitude, but mere manipulation should, in theory, be simple enough." The cutlass come out from beneath the cloak, she really should be getting to practice soon. "I can take a stab at it, as it were." She chuckles grimly.

Quintessent-Rune eyed the blades for a moment, a wee bit uneasily one might say. And of course, Rune would have to correct them on that, politely. "If you so wish."
:nods, and bows low. "I assume you'll be home later then? I would love to come down to the lab and try, it's about time I got back to work. even if it's just helping an… Acquaintance." Friend is a bit forward, don't you think. Careful is best, in social situations. "As for myself, I have some swords training to do, so this." She taps the bandages. "Never happens again. I'll see you later today?"

Quintessent-Rune noded. "Of course, miss Chaos. I look forward to see you at supper. I belive Servant is making a rather delicate kelp stew tonight, I'll make sure you'll get some if you will be running late. Oh, and if you want to borrow the BALLs for training at some point. Just ask."
